cruises from DubaiThe Middle East Emirate of Dubai has rapidly emerged as one of the worlds leading holiday destinations. With the UK providing almost three quarters of a million yearly visitors and over 140 direct weekly flights, Dubai is established as a firm favourite with British holidaymakers.
Not surprising, as it offers pristine sandy beaches, year round sunshine, fine dining and an incredible array of activities to suit all tastes. But now you can add a further dimension to a Dubai holiday - a fantastic 7 night cruise!! 2010 sees Royal Caribbean Cruises join the original trailblazers, Costa Cruises during Winter 2009/2010. Costa has larger ships than those which previously operated their seven day itinerary and have chosen to deploy their two most recent vessels. Introduced in May 2009.the sophisticated Costa Luminosa can accommodate up to 2,260 passengers - half of which occupy balcony cabins. The ship sails a traditional 7 night itinerary visiting Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Fujairah as well as spending time in Dubai. Cruises commence mid December 2009 and continue until the beginning of April 2010. A further endorsement of the popularity of this type of cruise is Costa's decision to deploy their very latest ship, Costa Deliziosa on what is her first series of cruises after launch. From mid March 2010 until the beginning of May, Costa Deliziosa will cruise from Dubai featuring the same itinerary as her sister ship Costa Luminosa. Cruises from Dubai received a huge boost when Royal Caribbean announced that they would be operating a new first time series of cruises on the popular Brilliance of the Seas. Commencing mid January 2010 and operating an almost identical 7 night itinerary to Costa, this series finishes mid April. The Brilliance of the Seas is older than the two Costa ships but is perhaps more suited to UK passengers, especially those with children. Dubai as a holiday destination is an excellent choice, offering exceptional standards of accommodation coupled with high quality of eating establishments. However, there has been a recognisable increase in prices over the last few years. We believe that the growing popularity of cruises from Dubai is due to the realisation that it is cheaper to spend the majority of a Dubai holiday onboard one of the aforementioned ships, bearing in mind all meals, accommodation and evening entertainment are included. With prices starting at just under £400 and child reductions of 75%. these cruises really do offer excellent value for money. In addition - as an added bonus, you get to see some other areas of the Middle East too!
